When adding an MPEG file which has not the suitable characteristics for
[S]VCD to a compilation, using the VCD/SVCD feature of Nero Burning Rom,
the user is given three choices: ignore the compliance, reencode the file
or cancel the adding.
Reencoding consists of decoding the file as it is, converting its resolution
and frame rate, and encoding it again. When choosing this option, the
reencoding process will be done as soon as the burn process starts.
To record a Video CD (VCD) you need files in a VCD compatible format, and
to record a Super VideoCD (SVCD), you need files in an SVCD compatible
format. Burning MPEG2 on VCD or burning MPEG1 on SVCD is only allowed if
the Nero MPEG2 codec plug-in is installed.
The presence of this plug-in will allow the decoding and encoding of MPEG2
files, and thus will transform your video files into the format necessary
for SVCD or VCD.
It consists of two files: "VMPEG2Enc.dll", and and updated version of
"Nedsp.dll", which have to reside in the Nero directory. It will be lo
aded
when an video decoding/encoding operation is required.

Before installing the Plugin, please insure that you have Nero Burning Rom
v5.5.4.0 or higher installed.
In order to install the plugin, copy the included files "VMPEG2Enc.dll"
; and
"Nedsp.dll" into the Nero direcotry (usually "C:\Program Files\Ahe
ad\Nero").
You will have to overwrite the original "Nedsp.dll" that is present in
that
directory.
Then, start Nero Burning Rom normally, and the plugin will be available
whenever it is required.
